Play of the Day: A Symbol of Immigration Needs to be Vetted
Stephen Colbert isn't so sure about 'that big green lady' in New York Harbor.
A man was arrested this week at a Donald Trump rally for yelling "Donald Trump's a racist." Late Night's Seth Meyers joked about Trump's campaign Thursday, saying security took the man away because that slogan is Trump's intellectual property.
Congress and Republican nominees have urged caution in accepting Syrian and Iraqi refugees displaced by the Islamic State. The Daily Show's Trevor Noah joked about the food metaphors Mike Huckabee is using about the refugee situation in a segment Thursday, while Late Show's Stephen Colbert mocked 2016 GOP contenders for their comments about refugees. In fact, Colbert took it one step further and decided it was time to examine the American symbol of immigration. After all, she's wearing a robe and would not pass through a metal detector.
