Play of the Day: The Trump Jr. Email Saga Adds Another Character
With Donald Trump Jr. releasing an email chain related to a meeting with a Russian lawyer, late-night shows joked about the president's son Tuesday night. Referencing the Watergate scandal, Late Show's Stephen Colbert joked that Trump Jr. is "his own Deep Throat while Jimmy Kimmel joked that Trump Jr. is as gullible as the "guy at work who opens the obviously fake document and now everyone in the office has a virus."
The man on the other end of the email exchange, Trump Jr.'s British contact Rob Goldstone, was the subject of jokes also. Kimmel and The Daily Show's Trevor Noah noted his selfies posted online, with Noah joking that Goldstone either looks like a "real Snapchat filter " or an actor putting on costumes for a headshot or audition.
