Play of the Day: Reading the Storybook Version of 'What Happened'
With shades of A.A. Milne, Jimmy Kimmel has a version of Hillary Clinton's recently released book.
A Twitter account belonging to Senator Ted Cruz liked a Twitter post this week from an adult video account, prompting Twitter and late-night hosts to joke about the Texan. The Daily Show's Trevor Noah joked about Cruz's lack of likability, while Jimmy Kimmel joked that the theme of the video fits with Cruz's family values platform.
Hillary Clinton's book looking back at the 2016 election, What Happened was released Tuesday. Late Night's Seth Meyers joked that a similar book in Russia is title I Did , while Kimmel joked that real presidents write tweets instead of books. The Tonight Show's Jimmy Fallon had some humorous fake blurbs for the book, including one from former president Barack Obama criticizing Clinton. Kimmel also read a children's version of What Happened called Losie the Pooh that channeled the spirit of A.A. Milne and took shots at Clinton's strategy and President Donald Trump.
