Play of the Day: WikiLeaks and the Trump Campaign
Maybe Donald Trump Jr. just thought he was looking something up on Wikipedia.
President Donald Trump returned from his 12-day Asia trip on Tuesday and was proud of his stamina on said trip. He told reporters on the plane ride home that "lot of people said it’s almost physically impossible for someone to go through 12 days," prompting Late Show's Stephen colbert to joke that "you know there are people who live in Asia forever, right?" and Late Night's Stephen Colbert to joke about Keith Richards' tour schedule compared to Trump's.
The Atlantic's Julia Ioffe reported this week that Donald Trump Jr. corresponded with transparency organization WikiLeaks during the 2016 campaign, potentially about releasing damning information about his father's campaign rival Hillary Clinton. The Opposition's Jordan Klepper joked that Trump Jr.'s message containing the words "off the record" may not help with an organization "whose mission statement is that everything is on the record," while Jimmy Kimmel joked about the messages, saying "the word 'leaks' is reight in the name." Colbert joked that Trump Jr. may not even known what he was getting into, as he could've just been asking Wikipedia -- not WikiLeaks -- if "they make the cheesecakes at the factory."
