Play of the Day: Paul Ryan Wants To Spend More Time With His Family
President Donald Trump's deputy national security adviser Nadia Schadlow resigned this week, marking another Trump administration official to step down. Late Night's Seth Meyers joked about the news, saying it's a bad sign when the first time you hear someone's name is when they're stepping down.
Speaker of the House Paul Ryan announced Wednesday that he will not seek reelection, saying he wants to spend more time with his wife and kids. Late Show's Stephen Colbert joked about the news, saying "wife" and "kids" are the famed fitness nut's nicknames for his biceps, while The Opposition's Jordan Klepper joked that young-looking Ryan is retiring at the ripe old age of 14. Conan O'Brien joked that Ryan now wants to tell kids directly that he wants to take away their health care, while Meyers joked that Ryan spending more time with his family means his family is in need of our "thoughts and prayers."
