Play of the Day: Trump Heads to Davos
His wife won't accompany him, but the president is heading to Switzerland.
White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders said this week that the White House is looking forward "to a complete and full conclusion" of the investigation led by Robert Mueller. Late Night's Seth Meyers joked that Mueller probably responded "no you don't" and The Tonight Show's Jimmy Fallon joked about Trump trying to get out of the U.S. via his border wall.
Trump is in Switzerland to attend the World Economic Forum in Davos, joining the global elite in solving worldwide problems. The event is, according to a joke from Late Show's Stephen Colbert, "what Lex Luthor would point his space laser at." Trump will only be in Davos for one night, but Jimmy Kimmel joked that Trump will be there long enough to "say something racist." Also, First Lady Melania Trump will not accompany the president on the brief trip, prompting Colbert to joke about the "stormy" weather in their relationship and Meyers joked about photos of the two together.
