Play of the Day: The Mueller Investigation Turns One Year Old
The president celebrated with a tweet.
The Senate Judiciary Committee released thousands of pages of testimony from Donald Trump Jr. on Wednesday about the famed 2016 Trump Tower meeting. In it, Trump Jr. said "I do not recall" nearly 200 times, so Late Show's Stephen Colbert joked about a previous tweet in which Trump Jr. quoted Mark Twain on the subject of lying.
Robert Mueller's investigation turned one year old on Thursday and President Donald Trump marked the occasion by tweeting "Congratulations America, we are now into the second year of the greatest Witch Hunt in American History." Colbert joked that Trump used the wrong term because witch hunts connote total innocent and Late Night's Seth Meyers joked that second seasons of TV shows usually kill off characters who no one likes.
