Play of the Day: No Eagles, But The President Loves Patriotic Songs

Donald Trump invited, then uninvited the NFL champs. So, he held an event anyway.

According to reports, President Donald Trump's original familial wealth originated in a successful early 20th century Canadian brothel. Conan O'Brien joked about the news, saying he was surprised that a Trump business actually was successful.

The White House canceled the requisite visit from the Super Bowl champions after the Philadelphia Eagles were to only send a few players, a few  team employees and the mascot, Swoop. Late Show's Stephen Colbert joked about the video of Trump and an actual eagle from 2016, while The Opposition's Jordan Klepper joked that a few players could be in the Swoop suit (adding to the total). In lieu of the usual event, the White House held an event "honoring our country" that featured a military band playing the national anthem and "God Bless America." Colbert joked that Trump knew all the words to the latter and some of the words to the former and showed the video of Trump singing, while The Daily Show's Trevor Noah joked that Trump hasn't "had time to learn the words" to a nearly 100-year-old song.
