According to a CNBC report, President Donald Trump is beefing up his 2020 campaign team. Late Late Show's James Corden joked about the news, saying that working for Trump is like being a mall Santa: it's only temporary, it's degrading and you have to deal with an unreasonable toddler.
Trump appeared at the National Prayer Breakfast on Thursday, along with other members of the political class in D.C. The Tonight Show's Jimmy Fallon joked that Trump and Speaker Nancy Pelosi both attended and immediately prayed that they weren't seated near one another. Trump touted the religious community's accomplishments and misspoke, misspeaking by praising the "abolition of civil rights" at the breakfast. Fallon joked about the malaprop, saying that trump then said the U.S. "landed a man on the sun" and "beat Mexico in World War II."
